Barry supports campaign to end Antarctic whaling

On 16th June 2015 Barry joined campaigners from IFAW to show his support for their efforts to raise awareness of the damage being caused by whaling activities in the Antarctic seas and t back calls to permanently end Anatarctic whaling.

The campaign has been launched in response to the continued practice of hunting whales in the Antarctic seas despite the International Court of Justice ruling that Japanese whaling activity is illegal. The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) is leading the campaign alongside their work in whaling countries to promote whale watching as a humane and sustainable alternative to the killing of whales that is better for whales and for coastal communities.
